The hands on nature of the workshop helped us get into the mind of a child. To watch teachers 'play' was wonderful as we inquired and experimented and generally immersed ourselves in science for an afternoon. Thank you for helping us to see what inquiry in action looks like.

I learned a lot. I didn't think I could learn so much in a day. I wish it could be longer.

“As a result of what you showed us Jane, the 2 of us have completely changed the way we approach how we teach science, in particular in terms of process.”
David Kainey, now Assistant Head of Lower Elementary, Australian International School Singapore Jane’s workshop was a breath of fresh air! We were not prepared for her Mary Poppins-esque bag of science magic, and were pleasantly surprised and energized. Though I am not a science teacher, I found many things I can use in my art classroom.
As a result of this workshop, next week I will provide opportunities for students to struggle and figure out a challenge, I will provide misconceptions and let them prove otherwise.
As librarian, I benefitted from the tools, links, and apps you suggested. The hands–on experiments were engaging!

The break out
sessions were really interesting. I also enjoy Jane's manner of teaching. She
is very encouraging and is willing to answer questions about how we can break
down the activities for our students. She successfully delivered a workshop
filled with insightful tips, useful provocations, and creative strategies to a
room of PYP and MYP teachers alike. The workshop definitely left a spark of
curiosity in me that I wish to share to my students right away.
Jane, you come highly prepared with all your delightful suitcase of goodies! Your experience and passion as a science teacher ripples throughout the presentation and we were a captive audience.
Jane's strategies to spark ‘scientific’ curiosity were great teaching tools not just for science but for any subject matter. The use of strong visuals, quotes, QR codes, etc. were grounded on her own insight as a perceptive and deeply involved teacher.
